Milestones. They matter. And they’re so often the very thing we skip in favor of whatever feels urgent. So we’re giving this one some airtime.
In June of 2020, we wrote a 6-session leadership program called Emerge. Our goal was to help leaders navigate leading and working remotely during the early and disorienting days of the Covid shutdown.
It was the women who showed up for it.
As the pandemic continued, the program did too…and women continued to join. Emerge is where they found a safe place to learn and grow.
In January 2022, we expanded Emerge to 8 sessions and added individual coaching calls, as women asked for more space and time to unpack what they were learning.
We saw more leaders. And more referrals. With more stories of change.
Group after group, year after year, Emerge emerged as this rare intersection of safety, visibility, and challenge.
It seemed to be exactly what women needed: community, coaching and real conversation.
This September, we will hold our 20th Emerge group and our 100th woman will join us for it. I’m still not over this.
We never imagined that what we created in 2020 would outlast a pandemic, several job-market shifts, a handful of economic swings, and all the transitions we’ve navigated since.
But it did.
Our team talks about Emerge with the kind of fondness you might expect for a (surprise) flagship program that has impacted so many lives. It holds a special place in our hearts as a safe and sacred place that has carried over 90 women through growth, challenge, and camaraderie.
